City of Antwerp
Antwerp has been known as the fashion capital for pioneering designers for decades. Underlying this are the fashion entrepreneurs, the unique vision of the fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and the international character of the Fashion Museum. The Antwerp Six who were in the spotlight in the 1980s paved the way for many other talented designers. Today, Antwerp is invariably mentioned alongside major fashion cities such as Paris, London and Milan. With the 2021 Fashion Plan, the city is looking ahead to 2030 and encouraging fashion professionals to devise projects and programmes together. As such, the city focuses on the individuality of Antwerp fashion and, together with fashion professionals, reinforces the city as a fashion city.

Fashion Museum Antwerp
MoMu presents two temporary exhibitions a year. The ground-floor gallery features smaller exhibitions and installations. Typical of MoMu exhibitions is the immersive scenography. Visitors not only view the objects but are immersed in the world of the designer or theme. Each exhibition completely transforms the space.
